Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Approximately 10% of women suffer from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and the crazy thing is that a lot of women don't even know they have it or some are diagnosed with it but don't actually have it.
So today I wanted to chat with you about the symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), so you know what to look for and how to treat it.
Even if you don't think you have PCOS, I recommend watching the video (it's only 6 minutes) as you can develop it as the testosterone levels in your body increase (e.g. as you move into menopause or come off the pill) and this can lead to increased risk with heart disease, diabetes and infertility.
For my clients with PCOS I recommend a supplement with peony and liquorice in it, as they work really well to bring your testosterone level down. I like to use a combined supplement that also includes myo-inositol and gymnema which help to reduce our blood sugars and sugar cravings. The supplement I use is Cycle and Skin which helps with the above, plus it helps get your cycle back in balance and helps to clear your acne up.
